Here is a picture of my 40 (the red one in the middle) from not too long ago:

She was "good from a far, but far from good"
Someone who owned her before me had done a half-assed bondo and paint splash resto. It looked ok for a while, but was starting to bubble through.

Here is what she looks like today!

and finally:

The front fenders and rear doors are going to have new metal welded in where needed:

Still have some more digging to do to see the extent of the problem and determine what panels will need to be replaced.

Right now I am expecting that both rear quarters and both rear wheel wells will need to be replaced. And the rockers (inner and outer) as well. Not sure about the rear floor.

The driver side floor board is pretty rough, but i think can be patched.

I have done some research and my options for panels are PACOL, CCOT and Paul Pilgrim.

I am waiting to hear the freight quote from Paul and am hoping to be able to order my panels from him.

Thanks Michael

The tub is going to stay on...the frame is very clean and virtually rust-free...thank god!

Yeah once you start it starts to get worse before it gets better, I bought mine with a decent front but the rear was only part of the rear sill and the top rims of the rear fenders, but I like to learn so ...........

Just recieved a new "pilgrim" half-tub from CCOT!

Still waiting for the rockers and front floor plans.

The half-tub looks great!
