Has anyone ever put a 5 speed/transfer from an 85 pickup behind a stock 72 F? Is it worth it? Does it match right up? I am looking for 2 stage upgrades and have access to one. First, put it behind F, then swap out V8 when I have more time/money.
Agreed; #3 son and I recently rebuilt one that his mini-truck (22R) had chewed up the main gear on the input shaft. Not beefy enough for anything larger than a 22R.
