Stock original softtop model. The drivers side door opening is 1/2" wider from hinge to latch than the passenger opening. I am fitting 2-piece BestTop soft doors. Passenger fits perfect and seals all around. Drivers door misses the latch by 1/2". Top of windshield to top of outer edge of rear vehicle body is exactly 81" and the top fits perfect. Never rust or welding on the tub. Soft door measurements are the same. Original body hinges. What gives?

Is the door opening 1/2" different because of the way the Best Top doors fit? It's probably those doors and not the truck. Take more measurements.

The drivers side door opening from hinge to latch is 1/2" wider than the passenger door opening same dimension. The 2-piece doors measure the same from male hinge to latch. If the stock door opening is 1/2" wider on your FJ40, then I can go back to Bestop for a correct drivers side door. Help?
