Fj62 into a Fj40 1978

I have a FJ62 that i am parting out. I took the axels out and those axels are in perfect condition. I have not check how my axels on the 40 are but I will say that they need to be rebuild. I am also thinking about installing the 3F cam on the 2F and all that. My project supposed to be a original restoration but I can not avoid to see all these goodies and not use them on my 40. Now my questions.

- Can i use the 62 axel without too much cutting and welding?
- Will the 62's transfer case bolt to the 4 spied in the 40?
- Is it worth it to do all this

I am also going to use the steering pump and steering box and the brake. I guess i can also use the master cylinder and the booster.

What did you guys think?

the 62 axles need alot of welding to get to fit under a 40.
what year is your 40? that'll determine if the T case will go in.

Is that it. there is not other modification.
I am going to take the measurements and see what comes out to be.

The 40 Drive shafts will work if you change the flange in the 3rd or rotate the yolk and re drill the holes for your bolts.

will need to work out shocks/shock mounts too. 60's shock mounts are on the spring plate...
