wierd clutch problem SOS

i cannot figure out this clutch problem. The slave cylinder pushes the piston out of the end of the slave causing it to jam and lock my clutch disengaged. To release it, i have to unbolt the slave. What causes it to push out so far?

I had a similar problem, end up making a longer slave rod about 1" longer I still don't know why I had the problem but making the rod longer worked.

my slave rod is already a good bit larger than stock. I guess i will try adjusting the nut out on it more towards the end?

do you have the spring on it . If not residual pressure will build up and then it will spit out the piston .

by freeplay do you mean you can wiggle the fork by hand with the slave cylinder on?

Check your peddle hight first with spring removed about 3/4" Freeplay @ the peddle if not adjust peddle under dash .

freeplay at the through out bearing with spring removed there should be no contact between the T/O bering and the clutch fingers/diaphragm with clutch released only 0.16 in gap.

With the slave bolted up The Gap between throughout baring and the clutch fingers/diaphragm you can run the adjuster nut to just make contact with fingers/diaphragm run up the lock nut with spacer/feeler gage between 0.16 in and remove feeler gage or spacer or eyeball back off the adjuster nut wile holding the lock nut in place tighten the adjuster-nut ageist the lock nut check again, you may have to do this a couple of times. don't forget to replace the tension springs hope this helps

Good luck
