fj40 hard top

Winter's coming and I'm having a tough time getting my older Specialty Top soft canopy on my 78.

Can anyone recommend or does anyone know where new or rebuilt hard tops can be found (besides the random sellers on this site)?

I'm considering going to a hard top year round and giving up the annual battle with the soft top version.

Thanks for the info.

Does your soft top have snaps or a track?

Oh...and to your question...that was rude of me...

Toyota wanted almost $2K per side...if they even have them anymore...I'd check Spector or Man-A-Fre if you want new...or here is a link to some used parts:
FJParts.com Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 Hardtop

P.S. It's a jump for you...they are in CA...Good luck!

It's all track driven except for the interior which snaps to the roll bar and an installed crossframe.

Thanks for the links.

most used stuff is rough..or you are going to pay a premium plus the hassle of crasting/shipping. Ever consider f'glass?

The reason I asked is my top is really old..it snaps all around...I wanted to upgrade to the track version...but you don't like it I take it?

That used top above looks great!

This guy might sell you just the hard top. 71 Landcruiser

They wouldn't sell me just the soft top, but might be more willing to get rid of the hardtop.

You can find them often on craigslist.com just check throughout your area from time to time and even oregon, Nevada...etc. If they are nice then you will often pay a bit high to get one.. Or just go topless...Good Luck.
