I used the 'Rustoleum' hammer paint....get it in the quart and shoot it through a gun if your going to do a lot of painting. I also used CCOT's paint for my front bumper.

Hi Drew. I also used the 'Rustoleum' hammer paint on my cluster, came up a treat, but yeah definately a bit different. I was surprised that it was the first brandthat Ive seen in shops over here that you guys all rave on about through the forums.

I guess us Aussies are a bit different with things over here

Looking forward to seeing this tacho idea you have, I've been trying for ages to win a genuine tacho mount on ebay, but always miss out. Now they seem to not appear all the time :(

Well, I got my can of T145, Ash Gray Metallic. Its pretty damn close, but not a slam dunk - part of the prob is that I sprayed it so thick and there is so much orange peel, but it might be slightly too dark. I'll respray and see.

The painted part is on the right, hanging off the headlight knob.

I think the Rustoleum hammertone silver looks pretty darn good for a few bucks a can.

Except for the fact that it's a hammered finish.

Well, the hammered finish only shows up if you really lay the paint down pretty heavy. I did use the hammertone stuff on my bumper and did light coats to keep it from getting too hammered.

I agree it looks good, until you get it right next to the original paint and then you can see its quite a bit darker.
