Changes = Problems - Throttle Linkage Bottoming Out

In my quest to make things right/specific to my engine/carb setup I've encountered a potential problem.

Brief history: 74 40 with a 78 2F that the PO had a 1F intake manifold, 6-1 headers and SOR reman Aisin 77 carb (has sense been JimC rebuilt - thanks Jim!). Headers were shot so I replaced with a 2F intake and exhaust manifold combo. In the process I replaced the PCV valve ported carb insulator with the correct non ported year specific insulator from Mark (this was done since the 2F intake manifold has a port for the PCV valve hose.

After assembling everything, my mechanical linkage bottoms out on the intake manifold at ~3/4 throttle. It's not like I need to red line the thing but want it to be 'correct'.

What can/should I do??

I can post pics if that helps - just let me know.

-Jon

Fixed

Longer studs and stacked washers seemed like a simple solution...it worked.
