Braking Turns On Signals

Lately whenever I break my blinker lights on the instrument panel come on dimly. Is this normal or do I have something else going on? Thanks

Search for turn signal ground for detailed info on what you need to do. Short story. Pull the front turn signal housings apart, clean all the bulb sockets, either add a ground wire to the bulb housing or clean the contact between the housing and the fender. Repeat for the rear. Later rear housings had a separate ground wire that can loose it's connection.

It is a floating ground problem and since it is a 77, where the brake and turn bulbs are separate, you can also tell that one or more of the rear lamp housings has a bad ground connection to the bumper. If you look carefully, you should also see the running lights come on at the same time.
