Dan,
Knowing you, you got a deal on it. Seeing that you just hauled it to your lot.....I would like to see an aerial of your place to see all your rides!!

That thing is cherry! Why would you cut it up? All those great mods would be for naught...

It looks like the only 'value' it has is the tailgate and the FST bracketry. Maybe some odds & ends. How bad is the rust?

I'm not cutting it up, just removing the modifications.

That's a very creative and unique approach to outboarding springs.

Actually, not this one.
The other two I have to go pick up may have some chainsaw parts involved.

Doesn't look like a 68 to me. Probably a 64 or 65. 68 would of had a padded dash plus heater was standard in this country after 65 (no vent in the cowl). That windshield with the vent in the bottom ended sometime during 65. I would check the frame. A 64 should have a 4 at the beginning of the VIN. The 65s I've seen didn't start with a 5. That might tell you what year is is. Does it have the brass tag screwed to the VIN? Does it have the soft top bows? I seen the eyelet on the dash but no bows.
You have never seen a factory soft top, drop by the house and I can show you a few. While your at it you might as well bring the 55 along

I pulled the tank and see very little rust.
Looks like a bad spot on the rear of the hump.

Dan,
Your fab skills are getting better everyday
Are you going to part it out? If so, there are some "bits" I would be interested in. Sorry, I didn't get to stop by today, we were running late and wanted to get home and get everything put away before dark.
Rob,
If you want to work on cruisers and get your hands dirty, there are plenty of projects in my garage.
