Top gear is still 1:1, so highway cruising will still be at the same RPM, but 1st synchro is great and 4 ratios instead of 3 is a nicer driving experience.

installed a water bottle cage in my 62 so that when I am working out of the back I am not always misplacing and spilling my beer,,,should work well for when I am sleeping in the back on trips, for finding that water bottle at night,,,

This weekend I modified my seat cradle to make the passenger side seat able to pivot foward to make getting in the back seat easier. Also plumbed my fuel tank, wired the fuel pump and sender. After that fired it up and heard the 4.3 roar like a champ. First time I've ever heard that motor run since I bought it. I got video on my phone and been showing everyone I know like a fool. This truck is 4 years in the making, I'm a bit excited to see the end is near.

Rear ARB
Decided to go ahead and get the rear locked with an ARB, thanks to TPI's sale last week and TN Offroad's installation.
Sliders hopefully will be delivered by Friday. Going on the STLCA ride the 2nd & 3rd.

Ground off the drivers side front shock mount. Still looking for a place to flex it up so I can measure for new shocks. Haven't seen anything nearby that I'll be able to drive to.

Easiest way to flex it is with a forklift.

Ok this weekend I fixed a t/c, leak brake leak, oil leak, and ordered a rebuild kit for my clutch master (from advanced auto parts $28 bucks). Today I am building some front diff protection and working on my cruiser/mini/ff centered rear axle.
I love my cruiser!

Slowly slowly getting my old-skool Belleview winch hooked up; this weekend I drilled a hole in the firewall and got the handles mounted under the dash. The clutch and brake cables are on the winch, still trying to figure out where on the inner right fender to put the "big switch".

I managed to trailer it's new frame back from the galvanizer and shuffle enough crap around in the garage to get it inside before the heavy snow came on friday.
Now I can I can spend the winter chasing threads and getting it ready to start swapping stuff over in the Spring.

Yesterday I disassembled my rear heater (yet to be installed), cleaned and lubed, straightened the fan blades, cleaned the brushes, reassembled, and now it sings when I hook it up. Time well spent!!!

Cut all but around 3 or 4 inches off the front fenders. They got so hammered weekend before last, I pretty much had no choice. Today I cut a deal to trade my hard top to my buddy for his soft top. Oh, yesterday I mounted up the new CB/switch/dome light mount in the new roll cage.
