Got the 78 T/A back together so that I can continue trying to sell it to fund the FJ build, did a further inspection of the core motor I bought from a friend for $100 and it looks, barring any hidden suprises when I send it to get machined, that I have all the parts to build a 462 for "cheap" since the bottom end has been in storage for easily 10 years, then cut out the rusted sections of the floors (goodbye factory toolbox).

Finally finished grinding all the bondo and paint out of the inside of the tub. Took about 20 hours and 4 knotted wire wheels.

Not a damned thing- unfortunately. This bathroom remodel has taken 4 months of my weekends. Totally crappy!

Packed her up and took a ride down to Darien Lake in New York, camped for the weekend and went to Cruefest! Motley Crue are definitely living up to their name, would "Old and Whiney" fit in there somewhere?? My lovely BJ was topless all weekend, and we didn't have a drop of rain Definitely got some racoon eyes from the drive tho
now likes the no top/no doors travelling, as does the dog, so I can hold off spending money on the soft top and doors for now.
Made it home with no mech issues, very happy about that!
Need to reseal the hard top in prep for fall/winter, has anyone had experience or know of a thread about cleaning out the old silicone/sealer from the gutter? With all the rivets it doesn't look like a fun job, but I'm not a fan of going over top of something bad just to save some time...
Drive on!

where did you get those, that'd look nice on my ride.
i finally finished my saginaw conversion, picked up 8 stock leaf packs from a local guy for 75 bucks. Don't say anything about the stupid turn signals they don't even work haha!

trying to figure out if i should get a double steering arm to help with my bump steer. marlin did a front disc conversion on my fj40 years ago, pretty sure i have mini truck knuckles with mini truck steerings arms, but i don't know for sure. anyone help me identify? i don't know the angle doesn't seem that bad to me...i should just replace the two old as h#!! tre's.

Got back the majority of parts from the powdercoater. Looks great. Slower than expected but enjoying the process still.

I bought a rebuilt carb for the F motor in the cruiser that I have still not purchased It needed a carb to run and I said I will not buy it unless I see it run. The carb was only 165 shipped and was rebuilt by Mark A? Someone on these forums I guess. Hopefully I will be driving it home this weekend...
Then the fun can begin!

i used the following .
http://grote.com/product.php?product...44891&x=18&y=9
relay
cost me 14$
Grote Industries: Product #91740 - Open Grommet
grommet
Grote Industries: Product #53312 - Red, Grommet Mount
light
together for two were 35$ 4 1/2" hole saw is also needed
i wired it through my trailer brakes , so it would all work.
bought them all from truck shops ,they are the cheapest and the only ones that carry them , I got the flasher from western star and lights from international . trucklight is 3 times the price of grote, the grote's are good lights and are completely sealed , im very happy with them.

i took my cruiser out 2 weekends ago on a trip for the first time since i got it a year and a half ago and blew a tire 15 miles into the trip so i put the spare on and limped home. i then took the atv out and had a blast the rest of the day. i got home and was pissed about the tires so i ordered up some brand new 33 12.50x15 super swamper tsl's and some black steal rims. i installed them tonight and i gotta tell you this thing rides better and handles better. it sits 2 inches taller too lol. the old lady was yelling at me why i would do that to her but she doesn't know that tonight i am ordering some 1.5 inch over shackles to compliment the 4 inch lift. oh and i am extremely happy with summit racing, their shipping and support was awesome as always.

Installed a FC Fabrications removable Lincoln Locker in the rear end. Pulled the soft top and doors and wheeled the crap out of it at the FJ 45 run with Georg and the boys.
