ouch.

Finally got the knuckles rebuilt and threw some new shackles on the back. Got the 350 dialed in and took it for a ride last night. Rides nicer with the longer shackles and those 42's

Drove it to GSMTR and back - about 7 hours total plus some driving on site.

Rebuilt JimC carb, dizzy and rebuilt 2F by ACC worked great.

Fuel delivery sucked.

Took off all fuel vent lines and checked for why pressure is building up - decided to replace all and drop a new used tank in place of my beat up one.

Glad the knuckles arrived OK.

Pile of major bits in the garage.

Frame sitting on the floor of the garage with the body on the trailer (covered with a tarp due to rain). Body went for blasting today. Frame goes in tomorrow for blasting and powder.

WOW! I get to finally post something.
ok, after not taking any time on my 40 since making tube fenders (that are not quite done yet)
i cut down my rear shackles and did a final weld up on the rear hangers.
took a good 2-3 hours of tacking and cutting to get the angle set up.

no pics, 2bad

Got my stretched 40 frame back from the fabricator and dropped the 27" stretched Aqualu tub on it. Now I've got to build body mounts, finish reparing the front cowl.....

bought a "new" truck :-) couldn't resist, 83 fj40 2F, always wanted a gasser...most of cruisers are diesel here so it's fun to have a gasser for a change, the power is amazing, love it! a couple of rust spot to remove, transfer case needs rebuilding but for the rest ok...

How many cans of brown did it take to cover that blue?

Installed ram assist, and a line lock

Broke my rear dana 60 30sp hub, bent the heck out of my rear passenger side shackle, bent my steering arm. Blew a bead on the Rubithon, sheared my rear spring center pin as well.
Upgrades for them all......

Fixed an annoying vibration I had at > 40 mph so I took it for a spin on the freeway down to Corpus and got rid of the Kia rental.
Now it's the official daily driver for me and my family...

Got my new stainless steel 18" steering wheel in the mail - already planning the mount (yes, it is from a sail boat!) power steering the old fasioned way .

Got everything ready for the blasting shop today. Delivering it Monday or Tuesday I hope. Picked up my TBI for the 350 Thursday and started the front bumper build.

The money can't be printed up fat enough. It's like a hooker on nickel night.
