I installed the rear 4" springs. This will result in removing the 29" highway tires for some 32" Super Swampers.
I'm on my way to garage to install the fronts.

Washed it today. Spent the last week testing out the newly installed 4" lift on whatever trail, fire road, mud puddle, etc. I could find. Stoked on the end result.

I went with the Safari 4.5" lift from MAF. It's still a little stiff, but I'm pretty happy with it so far. Definitely like the way it looks.
It barely makes it in the garage. I have to manually release the door and push it up all the way. Already s****ed the hardtop a couple times when I forgot to push the garage door up all the way.

Pulled off the rear suspension, cleaned each individual leaf with the bench wire wheel, added the add-a-leafs, and successfully installed the greasable shackles & pins, changed all the fluids, and a new shift boot for the tranny tunnel tcase shifter. Next weekend: bleed hydraulic lines, adjust the brakes, new tie rod dust boots, install new speakers & stereo (will post thread ), new PCV valve and hose, and will fire it up after sitting all winter. TEST DRIVE!!

This week I recieved my newly machined transfer rear output housing and installed two new seals.
I am looking for a 'leak free' Cruiser! (although, I have several leaks to go!).
I will install this baby this weekend (after I wipe the dust off).

I finished my PSC high flow powersteering pump install last night. Checked all the fittings, tightened the belts, took it out for the maiden voyage. PS works great!!!
and then I snapped the rear driveshaft. Tore a U-joint completely out. I limped home in 4wd. Guess I know what my next project is.

installed A CB radio kit from rightchannelradios. I chose the cobra 75 wx st. great radio and kit. It even came with a external speaker but I didnt use it because the speaker in the handset is loud enough. The weather channel noaa updates are great!
I also purchased some lights from superbrightleds
LUX3 series High Power LED Modules
LED Modules with High Power 1 Watt Luxeon 120 degree LEDs
Modules measure 1.18 x 1.88 inches and have 2.9 inch wires between them
Price is per 3 Module String, 12VDC powers entire string, modules cannot be cut off of string
I am going to install them tonight.

I finally got around to swapping in my new-rebuilt '69 dizzy...I been running the old one for 10 years or so and decided I needed a trailspare. So I had Mark A. bring me one of his rebuilds with the pertronix already in it. At SnT...back in November. So then I had two identical dizzys which is what I wanted. After I got those swapped, I took my old dizzy over to a new guy's (Mark) house. Met him at last month's Sacramento Rubicon Tuesday...at DeVeeres. He said he was having trouble with a 40 so I gave him my number. We put my trailspare dizzy in the 40, ran better but not great. So I came back the next day, earlier in the day, and we swapped the Pig's carb onto his 40. Ran pretty perfect. So we took apart his carb again and fiddled with it, gave him a spare accelerator pump plunger...runs a lot better but still needs a ported vacuum port...
Then, I decided it was high time I swapped in the new power steering pump and waterpump that I have been carrying around for the last 6 months. I had adjusted the squeaks out of them, so there was no rush, and they had both been replaced under warranty, 'cause they were squeaking...I said. Traded in very old, not-even-trail-spare quality parts as cores...
While I had both pumps out, I took a couple pics of my Mark A. power steering pump mount...that doesn't work with the Scout box 'cause they bump into each other...that I've been promising to take for Mark A. so he can make me a new mount that will work with a Scout box on a '55. And maybe 45s too.
And then, when I got both pumps in and plumbed, I started it up...and there was a great squealing and even smoke. So I turned it off.
Seems the waterpump wasn't turning. So I took it all apart again, except for the powersteering pump of course, looked at the waterpump, couldn't see anything wrong with it and put it back on. With lots more black RTV this time.
Works fine now. Squeaks & leaks are gone. Put that sweet new powersteeringpump pulley, from IPOR on as well. I'll take a pic of that, to qualify as tech...

Got all the random body parts organized and put up. Getting ready to buy a welder, so bodywork can begin. I will be starting with all new suspension(4" lift springs). Then on to mini-truck disc brake swap.

Installed the internals in the SM465. Attached the transfer case and linkages including a home brew brace. Stabbed it and installed (in no particular order): Clutch link; new throw out bearing; parking brake; rear drive shaft; speedo cable.
ran out of time. the rest will have to wait till the weekend
