ORION transfer case
Longfield 30 spline birfs/axle
3.73 gears
Lockrite locker in the rear
Shackle reversal
2.5” old man emu front springs
4” Sky jacker rears flipped
35” Toyo M/T’s on 15”/10” wheels
Power steering
Warn 8274 in custom bumper
Aluminum tub
polly fuel tank
Doors and hard top from <73 (maybe to fit the aluminum tub better)

Mods to come
Metal tech full cage (i picked it up last Sept. however i have not found the time to put it in, sucks)
Font grill guard and stinger
Rear bumper/ tire carrier
ARB locker up front (thanks to my Bush money coming in the mail!!!)
New gears, maybe 4.11 or 4.56?

My story is i have always loved the 40's so I got one before i had a wife to tell me i couldn’t.

Here is the day i got it home from Portland, the first trip out with the new wheels, and in the garage after the shackle reversal and lift was on.

And my good luck continues. Its normal to break things every time we go out right? Well this time i got to get an ORION so while i was in there i replaced the trans with a re built one from Spector off road with the compound low 1st. gear.

The first pic is were it happened. Nothing crazy, i guess it was just ready to go.

Did you change your front driveshaft to a long travel style slip joint when you did the shackle reversal? If not, that's probably what broke your tcase. If you don't change the driveline to a long travel style with adequate compression space, the driveline will bottom out and blow the tcase just like what yours looks like. I've seen it too many times.

Good looking truck though.

well build cruiser like how you upgraded when you needed too[broke something] you can always spend money but getting the first time saves alittle head ache. My dad told me to get what I wanted before I was married and save my eardrums but I didnt so luckily my exhust can drown her out. Thanks for sharing
