Am/Fm Radio for my first FJ40

Hello everyone. I picked up my first FJ40 last night. It is a 1978 with 11,000 original miles on it. It is currently in godd condition, but the work to bring it up to "show" condition will begin immediately. I am new to this process so please be patient with me as I fire off questions and ask for advice.

One of the first things I wouldlike to do is replace the Cobra am/fm/cb radio with an OEM or reproduction am/fm radio. i have read through the FAQ on radios and speakers, but just want to know if anyone has any other advice on where to search for radios? Thanks, JMP

cool truck... get that plow off there...

OEM you can find them on ebay every now and then... not sure if 78 had AM/FM might just be AM

Thanks for the replies. Yes, the plow is coming off immediately! At the price of steel today, the plows scrap value is huge!

Oh yea, the AM/FM was 8/80+, but it will fit.

8/80+ - Does this mean Toyota only had the am/fm avaialable in years 1980 and newer? What does the 8/ mean? Thanks, JMP
