Martack axle prep

I would like to do the martack on my axles but was curious how I should prep them before welding. I have measured everything out with the grease on the splines method and marked the axles. I washed the grease off with soap and water. Should they need any more cleaning to assure the welds will stick to the axles and not pop off when I'm out in BFE? My resources for cleaning include more soap and water, brake cleaner, and gasoline. All advice appreciated. Thanks,

Evan

Hit the tack area with brake cleaner and call it good.
