slide hammer rear bearing puller or what?
I'm replacing the bearings, so I can destroy the old ones. Should I take the time to source a slide hammer with puller or yank out the 3d and run a pipe through that MF'er and knock them out? One is already destroyed and just the cage is in there. half the 3d is out as I've obviously yanked the inners.
If I had a welder i'd weld them and they'd fall out, I know..... At this point I want them OUT.

The pipe method is about 5011 million times easier.

or
you could try to talk a buddy into trying the slide hammer method, while you frink a few beers, then when that quits being amusing, you can use the pipe method, which is really the only way to go if you already have the center out.

I borrowed a slide hammer from the AP store and had no problems. PinHead also suggests running a weld bead on the outer race and the shrinkage will let it fall out.

What about heating with a propane torch........just curious. I'm about "this far" from removing the 3d and going for the pipe.....
