Clutch Help

I need help. When I push in the clutch the rod on the slave moves the fork, but the tranny doesn't disengage from the engine. Any idea what I did wrong?

2F engine
4-speed bellhousing
Diaphragm clutch
Late 70's master cylinder (used)
Late 70's slave cylinder (new)

Poop. Guess I'll be dropping the tranny.

Thanks.

Hi pappy,

I would say you have the clutch plate in backwards.

The higher side goes towards the pressure plate. If you have it in backwards the spring(rubber retainers) touch the flywheel bolts, and the clutch won't disengage.

Good luck, you'll be an expert at pulling TLC boxes.

Thanks jb
