Can you tell me?

Hello Friends,
I actually have two questions.
1st, i recently purchased a after market header set for my 1973 FJ55 from a guy on Craigslist. The headers are two pieces, three three and three. What are they and who makes them? the reason i ask is that i need gasket(s) for them. Any ideas?

b) I am looking for all the front seat belts for my 1973 FJ55. Does anyone have a spare set for sale? I am in a resto just like all ya all and need some front belts. Any help would be soo cool

Thanks friends,
Moe

Email me please if you can help or send post.

Not sure of the header maker but I think most of the guys here running headers are putting on two sets gaskets.

should come up with a search

might have some belts....i dont know what kind of shape they are in, I dont know if i would trust the lives of my family with a 34 year old belt that has been sitting in the rain, sun ect ect....maybe you could use them as a template to get new belts or something?

Shouldnt be to big a deal

Cant speak to the GKT that mates to the head. I would assume if the stock gkt is a one piece that should do fine.
As far as the collector gasket is concerned.. I roll aluminum foil and
cut it to fit. Works great have never had a leak.
Taught to me by my friend . Randy Bobby. (nascar tuner).

2 piece header more than likely is form SOR. Compare yours to a pic in their online catalog.

Tri Y good choice.

Tri y headers deliver their performance gains at Low to mid rpm range..
as opposed to 6 in 1. which delivers at high rpm.
LOL redline at 4k
do I ever get to high rpm?

anyhow. I am envious and glad for you .. I would love to dump my 6in1 for a tri y.
Enjoy.

the pic is of split header.

They sound cool. (dual'd) but you loose the low rpm benefit if they arent singled and attacted to a collector.

OIC!

No single exhaust stock exit.

So what kind of carb set up do you all recommend?
I was thinking of the weber WEBER 34 DGEC CONVERSION KIT?

Do a Google search for replacement seat belt. Lots of vendors. I think I got mine at RSB.

I could be wrong on the Header, but I believe it's a SOR because I think MAF only sells the old 6 into 1 style???
As far as gasket, I don't agree with double gasketing, too many complaints that doubles don't work as well as single gasketing. What I do recommend is using one of our 30% thicker gaskets, then applying Coppercoat onto all four surfaces (i.e. head, header, and both sides of gasket)

Yes, you are wrong.
Tuned Ceramic Coated Headers

And yes, I have a set on my 40.

The best manifold gasket is made by RemFlex. Pricy, but seals without any additional applied sealant like Coppercoat.

RemFlex Home Page

Toyota 3.9L ('69-'74), 4.2L ('75-'87), (F,2F)

The gasket set comes with the manifold gasket and the heat riser gasket.

I just installed a RemFlex gasket, my only regret is not getting one in the first place after replacing the old gasket 3 times.... My headers were leaking a lot, and the RemFlex gasket sealed it up.

You may want to look into your rear shackle angles, looks to be a bit off from that picture. Just a heads up.
