Non-USA distributor and usa 70-74 distributor

This is a tough question but:

Anyone know if non-usa distributor is the same as an usa '74 dist. or '70-'73 dist. The reason I ask because I'm trying to get a pertronic ignitor II (a newer version) for a spare, I have the smaller non-usa distributor and wonder if I can use any of the newer ignitor II...Currently, I'm running Mel's ignitor from JToutfitter and it works and fits OK but these things do fail and I would like to get a good spare.

Here's the listing from the Pertronic catalog:

1974 6 Landcruiser .................................................. ..................... 1 Nippondenso 1665A 91665A
1970-73 6 Landcruiser .................................................. .................... Nippondenso 1665A 91665A

http://www.pertronix.com/catalogs/pd...7/ptx_2007.pdf

Thanks in advance.

Cruiserdrew is an unknown quantity at this point
You need to call Mark at Mark's offroad. Not only is he the guru of older Cruisers, he is also a Pertronix guy and sells/distributes the units. If anyone can help you, it's him.

Ever thought about swapping to FJ60 ignition? I did that on my 76 2F and it's been a really good swap. Then you avoid the small cap distributors, and have it custom advanced for you based on your smog controls or lack there of. I'm running mine fully desmogged, with vac advance. Best of all worlds.

FJ40Jim is on a distinguished road
Not a tough question.
An impossible question.

"Non-US distributor" covers a couple hundred part numbers from 1958 to 1991. Some of those will use the same points (or ignitor kit) as a 70-74 USA dissy.

Call Mark and give him some dimensions off the dissy. He will be able to set you up, if Pertronix makes a unit to fit.
