Well, I tested the rollbar. I rolled the damn thing on Saturday, and the bar held up just fine. No dents, bends or any noticeable damage to the roll bar anywhere.

Not so much for the windshield frame and rocker:

Damn that sucks and sorry to hear it. Any roll you walk away from unscratched is a good one. Glad to hear the bar held up well. Will you change the design any as a result? Thats one way to test the new bar What were you attempting when you rolled it ?

Nah, not going to change the design. I was attempting a steep loose hill that I got about 40ft up. I backed down and was turning around off camber and my right rear tire slid in a hole and it just went over. Did a 360 and landed tires down, sitting on a huge log on the oilpan, skidplate, axles. Had a dozer pull me off it and I cranked it up and kept wheeling.

Gotcha, the best part about a cruiser push them over and go about your business.

The wheel came down in a ditch on the driver's side and pitched me on its side. 2nd time was putting around town on the way to pick up my 5 yr old and a stupid lady on the cell phone pulls out in front of me. I locked up the brakes and swerved to miss her putting the 40 again on its drivers side. Moral of the story accidents happen and there are stupid people in the world. Its never a bad idea to be too safe. That little factory bar saved my neck twice. I'm probably going with the meataltech family cage but with a wild hair I'd consider doing it myself. I like the way your design looks though I see where it would clearly benefit you by moving the center supports out toward the doors like mentioned above.

I know this is a crazy question, but what the hell are the front overhead bars mounted to? The windshield?
