Rolled land cruiser, new excuse to rebuild

Well.......The is going to be a short hold up on my build....
Lady cut across a 4lane 4way intersection and i hit her doing about 40mph and spun me around so fast it ended up going down on the drivers side. Im ok, sore and alittle cut and shes ok as well. As always, glad nobody was hurt badly. But it still sucks!!!!

frame is bent badly, thinking of finding a frame and changing everything ovedr to it...
you can see here how bad the frame bent....for a reference the hood is completely straight, but the front clip is shifted to the left about 6-7 inches.

Glad you're okay, guy!

I think you are on the right track. Hunt up a good frame & do a rebuild.

You'll be ing in no time!

Oh man, THAT stinks.

I am taking apart and boxing my parts truck and the frame with title can be yours for free if you want it. Shipping is the problem. PM me if you want to talk about it.

Man that sucks!!! Did she have insurance??? When did that happen??

Yesterday, I realized that I didn't get my dist. seated all the way into the oil pump!!!!!!! Yeah there goes my 6 month old freshly rebuilt 2F!!!! I was sooo pissed yesterday!!! I called Bull to help console me!!

Good luck with the re-build! Get that new frame blasted and powdered coated!

Wow, glad to see your OK. That cruiser held up great considering it was a 40 mph impact. A new car would have crushed with half that and then laying it over on it's side. You gotta love these rigs......

Glad that you're ok. Sucks what happenned to your 40 but at least you were able to walk away from it. New frame and you'll be back on the road in no time. Hopefully that lady has good insurance and you can get some money to help on your rebuild. oh and yeah what did her car look like?

man i wish i had my camera at the scene, but of coarse i didn't. She was in a 2005 accord and it looked like a VW bug when i was done with it. Its a wonder she didn't get hurt worse, i clobbered her. I promise to have it back on the road better than ever(sorta). Thanks guys!

Well, i think you mean where did my car hit hers. My drivers side front bumper hit her passenger side front between the door hinge and wheel well. When she pulled out in front of me, she was at a angle where when i hit her i immediately spun around 180 and the drivers side rear of my cruiser hit the passenger side rear of her car. And at some point in all that i wound up on my door. It happened so fast, its really hard to tell what happened after i hit her.

Welcome to the club : ) glad to see you are OK...I put mine on the same side and slid right down the centre of the road..I.my fender and top looked just like yours... had the same movement of the front sheet metal, but no where near what yours did...you are lucky..the force to do that must have been substantial...Seeing yours, I'm afraid of taking mine to a frame shop to see if it's straight...but who knows how straight it was before i rolled it

The best was at mine...a lady looks at it laying there and says "I'm really surprised your air bag didn't go off"

haha, no no, i got the same, from both the two officers and a fireman. I didn't even bother explaining. But yeah, im not even going to try and straighten the frame. Id rather just replace with a good frame and not have to mess with a frame puller with all that guess work. She'll be back!

Man i am sorry about your FJ40., I read about it on the 4TB Cummings web site. I was looking at doing the same swap. I have the motor, just not all the little parts to make it work. Your blue FJ40 looks great as well. Good luck with the rebuild.
