SWEET!!! You are doing an AWSOME JOB!!!!I am having fender alignment issues on the passenger side as well (along with other things) but seeing the great job you are doing makes me want to do mine the right way. I am trying to take the shortest route from pile of parts to the trail as possible, but after seeing this thread it would be well worth going the extra mile.

Again GREAT JOB!!!

thanks guys!!! I'm way too excited about this whole thing so i started building the truck without actually having the body on the frame..... I got a lot of work done today but damn its going to be heavy...

fenders are getting sprayed tonight so i'll pick them up tomorrow and bedline them + the truck + the tranny hump!

Totally bitchin'

Seriously, the Milkmen should have sang about a "Bitchin' forty" instead of that stupid camaro.

Very, very nice!

thanks for all the comments guys! i'm getting really excited about nearing the end of this build.. all the gauges work all the lights work (that I have on) and best of all... I drove it around the street today!!!

brakes work great.. have a few leaks out of some ends.. i think i might of had a few bad flares :/ but that will have to wait for another day - i won't be driving this but I do need it all together

got the tirecarrier on today.. i had to drill holes in the sill for the rubber mount and the hook... well its all fucked up and i didn't catch it until after i started drilling.. i'll take some pictures tomorrow.. i'm going to need some help with this one

this is my tire carrier issue.. bought it used cleaned it up painted it... went to bolt it up and then drill the holes for the rubber mount and hook in the sill in installed... and well.. it doesn't line up.. the tire carrier seems to be an entire inch lower than it should be.. i can't even see where the thing might be bent..

its DONE

going active duty tomorrow and leaving for mississippi so my truck is going to have to sit through winter until i can come back and get it registered and take it down. everything is pretty much done just need to put the running boards on and redo the rear doors - the canvas isn't quite sitting right.

thanks for all the help and I couldn't have done this without my dad and the support of my family.

its going to be sad leaving her behind.. enjoy some pics

last ones my friends dad took the cool ones

also I don't actually ahve the truck... its going to sit in CT for this winter with a cover over it (it won't fit back in the tent I made) and I'm probably going to have to pay to have it shipped down here to Mississippi

Amazing restoration...it looks AWESOME, and one to be very proud of!

Seeing these sweet FJ's make me regret deciding to restore this last CJ.

Good luck to you going Active Duty!

WOW.

Amazing man, really amazing.

Love the soft top and doors, especially the soft ambi doors. Don't see that too often.

Congratulations on a job well done. I'm sorry you wont be able to drive it for a while. Thats got to be the hardest part of the whole project.
