Anyone using this motor?
http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...0002_127626_-1
I'd love a Ram Jet but I got a quote of $20k for that at TLC and that is WAY out of my price range.
How's the power and durability on this motor? Is it enough power for most situations? Should I step up to this http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...10002_59282_-1 for an extra $800?
Thanks, Scott

I would go to your local hotrod shop and have them build you a 350 with an RV "torque cam". Talk to your local shop boys and they will steer you right. Probably won't save you much money, but if there is a problem these shops are easier to deal with than a mail order company.

20K for a RamJet?
Shipped to your door, with serp belt system for under 7K.
Where is the other 13G's?

You could also check with your local GM dealership, their new crate engines aren't that expensive, and for warranty perposes, they're everywhere. Also depends on what you use the cruiser for, how much HP do you need (or want!) Just my thoughts, good luck with your decision !!

I've priced 'em at about $5,200 undelivered without the add ons. Maybe that other $13K is for the extra two to go in their own rigs!

Yeah that's the price of the motor but the labor is the 13G's (suppose I should have mentioned that in the first post). Funny thing is that I already have an old 350 in there so I wouldn't think there's alot to do.
I might try and find someone else to do it for less $$$

X2 Wow that seems high!!! Had a new 4 bolt TBI crate motor put in my 88 Chevy P/U a couple of years ago for just a bit over 4k...including all labor and replacement of most peripheral parts...motor mounts, radiator, water pump, fuel pump. What are these guys puttin' in that motor?
