Temp gauge

I've try'ed searching and cant come up with anything, All of my gauges worked well in my '79 40 and then all of the sudden the other day my temp. gauge quit working. replaced the fuse and it still wont start working. I dont know if this has anything to do with it but I also noticed that my seatbelt buzzer quit working also, would the 2 be connected some how. Anybody got any ideas? Thanks.

i had to hook my back up it is just a wire that runns from the drivers side of the top ov the block right where the the cover connects to the block. check to see if the wire is plged up. if not plug it up. my was so loose that out wheeling it just fell off.

Install a frame-to-chassis ground strap and an engine-to-frame strap. They are about $6 if you get the fancy flat braided ones. Even if it does not solve your problem, you need them anyway. Many mysterious electrical gremlins are faulty grounds.
