metal tech fenders and stock birfs question
Do you need to trim the aprons with these fenders or can i just mount them as is.Also looking to put 37's on don't do any rock crawling in the east here so will the stock birfs hold up with open diffs. Evetually going ARB front and rear.

Rock crawling is not what makes an axle fail. Overloading makes them fail.

As long as you do not leave the pavement, or leave it parked.

I used the OE MetalTech tube fenders, which don't require cutting the aprons. See here:

Sounds like you plan on playing in mud and dirt. Keep in mind the MetalTech fenders also eliminate the inner fender. This exposes the engine compartment to the elements quite a bit. Some have been able to fit the stock inner fenders on with a bit of work. I just left mine open.
