PTO specs

Anyone know what kind rpms the stock PTO on a cruiser does through the gears?

If you are facing the truck from the front what direction does the shaft spin in a forward gear?

The reduction in the PTO winch is either 29:1 or 33:1. I confuse the ratios of my OEM and my Braden winches all the time.

Other than that the speed of the winch depends on which tranny gear you select and how fast you run the engine.

Braden specifies a max input rpm of 400 for their winches in this class. That is for a no stress/no wear use of the winch. It'll pretty much last forever at that loading. If you run it faster it puts more stress on the gears and wear goes up.

Facing the truck the shaft will be turning clockwise if the PTO is enaged to pull in and the tranny is in a forward gear.

What I'm really interested in is how fast the shaft off the PTO T-Case spins. I'm looking into other uses for the PTO.

Again, it just depends on what gear you select and how fast you turn the engine. It's close to a 1:1 ratio in the box. I can't remember right now if it's exactly 1:1 but i think that it is not quite. Have to count teeth to be sure.

Thats what I needed to know. Most PTO run with a 400-600 rpm. I'd figure I'd be around that. Thanks Mark.
