9/75 FJ40 2F rebuild issues...

I've been perusing the forum for almost a year as I work to restore my baby. Had her since I was 14 and finally have the budget to do some much needed work. I've answered MANY of the questions that have popped up from this forum. Thank you already. Here are my two remaining issues:
1) I've worked with SOR for most of my parts with little problem, however I am having extremem difficulty in locating the correct bolt for the exhaust headers I purchased from them. I've got a 9/75 an ordered pretty much every bolt combination from them with no luck on finding a match for the two bolts (non-stud) on the ends of the bolt pattern. Every bolt I have recieved from them have been to large to even fit through the holes on the header I purchased from them. I have verified the part numbers as being correct, but no joy. They are skinny and long. Does anyone know the specifics of these two bolts, or have a recommendation of where to look? I've checked the FAQ and bolt size threads, but it isnt listed there...(that I can tell)
2) I converted to electronic ignition with a CraneCams Fireball XR700 kit, and am happy with the results. The 2F is running strong and cleaner than expected. However, when reving up from idle to anything over around 1500 rpm, she sounds like she is about to take off. Is this a result of the header/leak from the #1 cylinder exhaust due to the missing bolt? Also, when coming down from high rpm (>1500 rpm) to idle, I hear two blips that sound like mini backfires. Is this a timing issue? Or again due to the exhaust leak on #1 cyl? I have adjusted the idle and mixture as anally as I can, and have no vacum leaks. (engine dies quickly and without idle increase when air to carb cut off.

Any suggestions/adivce would be greatly apprecaited. I cannot wait to get 'The Heap' back on the road after a year of work and living in my garage...If you are in the SD area and willing to help, free 's...

Nevermind if the bolts fit through the mounting hole in their aftermarket header, do they thread into the block without the header in place?? Could it be that you have been getting the correct bolts but the mounting holes are not large enough?
