| Why is my floor wet by my feet? Why is there standing water on the floor of my truck after I wash it or it rains?
If the seam sealer that Toyota used between the two pieces that form the cowl have deteriorated, cracked or are missing, you will have wet feet, and worse, moisture between the cowl sections and this will lead to corrosion.
If you are looking to purchase a truck, grab a garden hose and flood the cowl area with water, for A WHILE.
If there is any water on the floor, you either have a leaking cowl vent gasket, cowl vent drain tubes, or the cowl seam is no longer in tact.

| I've got OEM rust holes in my floor to compensate for my OEM water channeling ducts that dump water all over my floor/feet whenever it rains.
*edit* Did you bend out your gas pedal for extra clearance from the tranny hump?

| People also need to check the two hoses that drain the cowl vent... I often find them disconnected...

| also check the seam between the sides and the upper cowl...that's a notorious spot and it will leak onto your fuse block

| Check the windscreen/shield seal too Cruiser are bad for the surround rotting out under the seal and then leaking in, also check the rubbers where the wiring looms go through the fire wall.

| Are you serious Steve?.
I'm sorry I can't help you out on this one. I took my hardtop off two years ago.
I am thinking about getting a Bikini top or something.
If my rig gets washed, it's because I got stuck driving in the rain. |

| Don't forget the hood hinge screws. They can leak also, if the gaskets are dry and cracked or missing. |

| Mine leaked in the same exact spot. Check the drain tube for the vent in front of the windshield. You can get really good access if you pop out the gauge cluster. You'll have easy access to it. I used some 5/8th inch heater hose and a clamp to replace it. Works great. My 74 has only one drain hole. If you have two you could block off the passenger side drain since it isn't as easy to get to and just use the driver's side drain like on mine.
