| Engine Sending Units I am swapping an old F out for a 2F and have a question about the sending units.
Below is a pick.
#3 was in the 2F and I am unsure what it is, I assume coolant temp.
#2 is the sender from my 1F and I put in matching hole in the 2F and I thought this was coolant temp. Am I wrong?
#1 I believe is oil pressure. Can someone confirm it is in the right location in the 2F? Seems awful close to the header.

| #1 is oil pressure sender, but that is on an F engine, or a 2F that has been drilled and tapped for a sender, as the stock location is on the oil filter housing/oil cooler assembly...

Could the oil pressure sender ever been stock if it was in that location? On both my 75 fj55 and 76 fj40 that is where the sender is. Has to be stock on the 55.
I believe one of the sensors in the pics above is an exhaust temp sensor. |

| #1 IS the oil pressure sender for the dash gauge on all Fs and late-Fs. My 2F has a threaded hole there, but no communication with the oiling system...
All the F/2F heads I have seen have the two temp senders on top, one for the dash gauge and one for the emissions "computer".
You'll probably need to use the temp sender that matches your dash gauge. |

You'll probably need to use the temp sender that matches your dash gauge. | That sounds like the winner. The rear one is the one I took off my F and it is now in the same place as is was in my F. I took the Oil pressure sender out and looked in the small hole and dug around in there with a pick. Seems that is a hole to no where. Can one of you guys post a pick - or link to one - of the sending unit on the filter housing?
Thanks
