Do a search for Romers post on the mini truck conversion it is a very good write up with pics..

| Fj60 is the most "trick", however Saginaw is so well worked out and works so well, it is hard to recommend anything else.
The Saginaw conversion has many advantages, it's easy, inexpensive, the parts are available anywhere, it works great etc...

| Saginaw...It will consist of less components to fail. Use 4x4 labs steering arms, (he makes them for spring over or Spring under) and GM 1 ton TRE's and it will never fail

| Did FJ60 and loved it until I went from 33" to 36" and everything started leaking (hot fluid). I am seriously considering a swap to sag when I've got the cash to do another PS conversion (again)

| Would a cooler help with the oil? May be cheaper than switching. Or just too much stress on the 60 box? |

| :shotts: That being said.... I am putting a Sag on my trail rig and a minitruck on what will be the wifes rig one day. Going with basically a stock to just 1" lift on that with no radical tire size.

| Personally, I hate the idea of putting anything that's not toyota into my Toyota Land Cruiser.
However
The Saginaw Power Steering has probably been the SINGLE best mod I have done to my FJ40.
If I were to get another FJ40, I'd put saginaw power steering on it before I put fuel into the tank..
