| just because it has been rolled does not mean it is junk, it really depends on the damage, if it was all panels and no frame damage, etc, then the truck could still be just fine, it all depends is all I am saying.

| I agree, imo it mean it needs a better inspection and a good test drive. |

| I think a real good inspection of the rig is a must and take a tape measure when you are buying anykind of rig like this...
I have restored a many of LC's and Jeeps and I dont think I have found one yet that has a straight as an arrow frame... If the body was repaired properly and the frame is in good shape and it drives good and you still want a straight as an arrow frame then 200 bucks at most frame shops will do minor adjustments???
Just my .02
Thanks for the heads up though most would prefur to buy one that has not been rolled over one that has not...
THanks for being a good guy and letting us know...
JOSH

| Thank You for the heads up.
Nothing against rolled rigs. This seller was trying to hide that little fact and Riddler was just bringing it to everybody's attention. |

| I rolled mine, bought it back from the insurance company for $300.00 and fixed it. It's back to prestine condition. Rolled, like the others said, does not necessarily mean that it's a junker. Mine even has a salvage title associated with it.

| My friend has rolled his Heep 3 times, and it's still out there driving every day. If the Heep isn't totalled after 3, I highly doubt an FJ would be after 1.

| I'm just stating that it's worth a look, whether the cat is sleezy or not.

| My 1973 was rolled on it's side by PO and everything was fixed. Just needed to retweak the fender and replace the glass. Very minor damage otherwise.
Just becasue it was rolled does not make it less valualbe, unless the frame was tweaked and it was twisted and rebent into place by an amature.
Honestly, I'd be more worried about rust than a roll, provided the truck was fixed right.

| They should've listed that,it makes you wonder what else they're hiding, however when I bought my 77,it was a rust bucket and I wish it was wrecked instead of rusted,I think it would've been easier to fix.Quality body work seems to last longer on a wreck than on that f*&%#* rust.

| Riddler- Thanks for pointing this out. I sell quite a few cruisers on eBay and I'm brutally honest IMHO. A very short description that is all positive is never a good thing. There should be a laundry list of good and bad points about any vehicle. If there isn't then the seller knows nothing about cars or trucks and you might as well buy something without looking at the pictures.
I think the biggest point that no one pointed out is that the seller has a zero feedback rating. That should be the biggest red flag over any other observation. Rolled or not something is definitely fishy. New paint jobs are never good aside from frame off restos but they are ok if they add some "before" pictures in the listing.
A well posted eBay listing should pose very few questions to the seller. Not to sound arrogant but most of the questions I get are just insanely lowball offers. This listing is BS from word one.
Rolled trucks are like rust. It's not the end of the world but it's whether you want to deal with it or not. At least you can plainly see rust in pictures and I think that is the crux of your original posting.
That seller is obviously a jackhole.

| A tree fell on it I saw this posting, so I clicked on the ebay link and low and behold their was my old land lords cruiser. I was just leaving the house so I stoped by Ed's and asked him if it has been rolled. He told me a tree fell on it. I have known Ed for nine years now. He is a honest guy. He had another cruiser that he fixed up and sold on ebay. I have seen both of his cruisers and they were in excellent shape. I didn't ask him how much damage the tree did, but the only reason he is selling it is it is too nice to take on the trails, he thinks. |

| My FJ55 rig was rolled by the previous owner, they cut the top, they lost the windshield, they then installed a FJ40 windshield frame, now when I sit in my FJ55 I feel like I am driving my old 79 FJ40, I love driving that beater around West Los Angeles looking at all the BMW, BENZ, and Bentley's. So thanks to the guy that cut that roof off and made it possible for me to have a true pig.

| Some insurance companies won't insure salvaged vehicles. Food for thought

| My 55 had been rolled, well not rolled but it took a nap on its right side. The seller openly told me this and the only damage was a dent on the rear quarter and a f*#&@# up rain gutter - all of which I am in the process of fixing and you will never know of the damage when I am done.
A member of my local Cruiser club just sold his 40 that he rolled - replaced the windshield frame, windshield and wheel well and it looked great. He was open about it being rolled and I would have bought it.
As long as the seller is honest there is nothing wrong with a rolled rig. When the seller tries to hid that a rig had been rolled then there are issues. |

| Thanks Riddler for bringing this to everyone's attention. While there might be nothing wrong with the cruiser, giving everybody a head's up is what makes this a great community. Too much info is not a bad thing, thanks for looking out for others.
