Training School for FJ40 Mechanics?

Hi folks:

This may seem like an extreme question, but I seriously considering changing careers. Who can tell me what automotive school or program a novice should attend in Los Angeles in order to become a mechanic that's qualifited to repair and upgrade landcruisers, especially the fj40's?

I am looking at two automotive training schools in Los Angeles NIT in Long Beach and UTI in Rancho Cucumonga. But I don't think either offers any type of specialization in Toyota's. I would assume you'd need to be familiar with toyotas and chevy engines at least.

Perhaps some of the pros here would be kind enough to give me a little advice. Many thanks!

if you can, I would say see if Jonathan Ward can hire you at tlc in VAn Nuys. He may have a newbie program.. You don't get the degree but work for the best in the country...

^^^^ That's a good idea. Ditto for Man-A-Fre or other Land Cruiser shops/stores/companies.
