aa rockbox questions...

hey y'all,

i've searched and i've read dave safford's tech article on his install but i've still got a couple of questions about the install of an aa rockbox between an fj60 late 4-spd and splitcase...

i know that a new transmission output shaft is required, and provided by aa.

my questions start when it comes to splitcase side...

1) can the rockbox be installed with a splitcase?
lookin through the aa site, it seems that they sell 10- and 16-spline setups...and the splitcase is 19-spline.
does this knock the rockbox off of my list of possibilities from the get go?

2) for those who've got a rockbox...is the added length 5 inches even?
i got this number from the aa website. and the toybox is ~6.5 inches, right?

thanks y'all,

malphrus

Why don't you try the FJ60 page, rather than the FJ40 page? I know Jim Brantley used Marlin's ToyBox on his FJ60, not sure how that compares to the AA rockbox.
