yes, 1970 fj55, so the ebrake cable attaches here? I am going to be using a split case tc, vortec v8/4l60 automatic, split case tranny using advance adapters adapter, not sure if I will need this then? ON my fj40 it just mounts to the firewall?

you need to keep it, since the parking brake lever is much more complicated on the FJ55, and this is where the rod exits the firewall, after crossing from the drivers side to the pass. side...

come get your engine man!

well, I cut it off. I couldn't clear it with the way I am doing the rotisserie bracket. Can't I just convert to an fj40 style parking brake assembly? Just thinking that it might be cleaner, and this thing is not going to be anywhere near stock so no biggie. No biggie as I can weld it back on no prob, just a few spot welds, I kept the bracket clean.

got the chassy out in the driveway today, neighbors love me.
