Emissions Cont. question

I was working on getting my flasher unit out so that I can replace it with a heavy duty unit (for LED's with trailer light adapter) and I had to move the Emission Cont out of my way. Is the "Emissions Cont. (PN 89550-60012)" Needed to do anything special on a non-smog 74? It used to have the air injection but that has been removed and so I really don't have smog anymore. Will not re-installing this part cause any issues with how well the truck runs? 10/74 FJ40

It does nothing now that you've removed the AIR, EGR and the VSV off the fenderwell.

Remove & discard.

Actually just air i haven't pulled the EGR or VSV...or not sure if they were already missing before I bought the truck but I probably won't need it in the end since I am making sure that truck is 100% smog free before the end of 07...Thank you for your reply
