is it factory?????

while doing my daily am search for 40 stuff I came across this>> is it a factory item or custom or what. i like it regaurdless, but not there yet in my project.

Just kidding, it does look like the center consul / heater; maybe from 1983 FJ40.

That style was stock in the BJ42s ('81-84) around here.

They are hard to find in good shape. The heater does not heat as well as the one of my 79 and the ash tray can still be had at the dealer. Celica also used the same ash tray. Anyhow, that about all I know about it.

yeah exactly like the one in my 1981 BJ42 (without all the scratchs and coffee stand!) I wouln't buy for 300 bucks! The rear heater is not worth much in my opinion! unless you're doing a complete resto!

You Guys Are Right. I Also Found Out From My Parts Dept. That It Is No Longer Sold Even Through Yota And But Hahaha You Can Still Get Up To 1980 Rear Heaters, Makes No Sense To Me But Its Yota For Ya

81+ fj40 rear heater.........oddly they are all sorta green-ish color, like the asstrays.

heater is built into the console.

Not only is that factory - that particular heater on ebay is restored and put up for auction by aatlas1x (shane) who is very active here on mud.
