Adapting old style tail-lights('72) to new style 40 (10/74)

Ok so I bought some new LED round tail/turn lights and realized that they wouldn't work with my wiring so I wired them up for tail brake and kept the turns in the stock lights until I can fix this. How would I adapt so that the flash does not get over-ridden by the stop? I know it will also need diodes to keep the current from tracing backwards. any ideas?

Garage
Trailer converter.....wire that into your existing system and then run the out wires to your new lights.
