flywheel removal question...

hey y'all...

tryin to pull the flywheel, then bellhousing, off a 2F so i can put it up on an engine stand.

searched and found a couple of helpful threads:
help with bellhousing
and
Pulling Flywheel?

the tranny/xfer is off, got the bolts out, but i still can't get the flywheel to 'wiggle' off.

anything other than the 6 flywheel bolts that hold it on?

i made up a puller and tried it out to no avail...in retrospect i should have realized that the 6 bolts don't thread into the flywheel itself, ha ha, so i was basically just trying to bend my puller b/c i wasn't even pulling on the flywheel...oh well, chalk that one up to stupidity.

goin to head home and hit it with some more penatrating oil and try again later tonight, but i just wanted to check and make sure that i wasn't trying to pull it off when there was some other fastener or bolt somewhere...

any thoughts?

thanks,
malphrus

Hit it with a hammer...you will not hurt it unless you beat the crap out of it.

It will come right off....no snake oil needed.

Good luck!

Sorry, I couldn't resist. My feeble attempt at humor...
