Greetings folks. New guy here in Beee-YOO-tiful Camp Verde, AZ

Sold my FJ60 when gas hit a buck fifty (HA!) but looking hard at a FJ40. Nothing between me and that FJ40 except a whole s***load of coin.

Wanna cruise the Bradshaws and all the terrain around the Mogollon rim. V8 FJ40 seems like the best Magic Carpet.

As the handle implies I'm a Gub Nut, uh ENTHUSIAST. See ya out there. M1Lover

welcome

Welcome. I hope you pick up the 40. I'm down in Phoenix, and hope to see you out on the trails. (currently in a beat up 80, soon to be in a un-beat-up 45).

I might as well chime in as I am in Scottsdale. I am neck deep in my '40 project, just having (mostly) finished my 4Runner project. Out of the pan and into the...what was that again?

Welcome

I'm down in Tucson, but hunt Unit 23 (roughly 50 miles due east of Payson, down off the rim) almost every year for elk.

BTW, don't limit yourself to a V8. I run that area, and pull a trailer up there, with a 2F.

Hi M1Lover,
I'm also in Camp Verde. Seen a couple of Cruisers around. Missed out on a really nice one in the village for 1500 a few years ago. i will keep my eye out for you. I'm planning on doing some major work on mine this summer.

Hey Neighbor. I really want this FJ40 bad. The Buddha said: Desire is Suffering. Boy was he right. If this one slips by, I'll just have to save my pennies.
Hey, bet you know some cool trails up around Squaw Peak, no? We could form the worlds smallest LC Club.
Kind regards, hope to meet you out there. M1Lover

I lived in Flag for a few years and bought my 40 up there. I moved from there in 03 but there were quit a few 40's in that area before I left. The guy that used to own the auto shop in Sedona ( Right off 89 where you turn to go up to the Sedona airport did a lot of wheelin and dealin in 40's also. His name was Mike, not sure if he is still around or not. Check out the wanted ads on SOR also. Good luck in your quest!

Hi, M1,

I live in Tempe and recently picked up an imported diesel HJ47 at a decent price. There are plenty of 40's around here. I look on Craigslist periodically for them. Here's my 47 in Box Canyon out by Florence:
