MAF brake conversion vs mini-truck

I was planning on doing a front disc brake conversion on my 69 fj-40 and the mini truck seemed like the most popular and the least expensive but theres really no mini truck axles to be found where i live and i was looking at the MAF front disc conversion ( http://www.man-a-fre.com/parts_acces...ersionKits.htm ) and its a lot more expensive. Anyone have any advice for me because i know that the maf uses stock birfields. Thanks

You can also use knuckles off of 84-85 4runners and all landcruisers 79-90.

I bought knuckles off a '79 landcruiser and had them shipped to me from a lister on 'Mud... you don't necessarily have to find the parts locally.

The OEM knuckles are a better conversion. Look in the for sale boards here and on pirate4x4 for parts.

x2. Look in the for sale sections and piece it together (knuckle out) it will save you a lot. The only thing I would recomend is a complete knuckle rebuild kit.

The MT upgrade will also add additional strength to your front axle
Do a search, tons of info on this...

Marlin Crawler PARTS Classifieds is another source for MT stuff:
