carb serial number and year

hey y'all,

i was wondering if there was a serial number correlation for aisin carbs and production date...like the block stamping for the F-2F engines (2F serial number info...)

any ideas (jim c., mark, etc.)?

i have a couple early carbs (71 and 73 i think), and i would like to verify their dates

also figure this would be a nice resource for anyone that is lookin for a specific year carb (like me...i need an 81-87)

on the carb on i have here at my desk:

above the sight window on the flat surface, to the right of the 'teq' symbol and under the letters 'ISO' this is stamped, crookedly, i might add:
"4 H 27"
i think i remember jim c. tellin me that this was a '73

4 = '74
H = August
27 = 27th

Good carb, IMO
