Noah,

Very nice. Do you have a pic of a Pig that is similar to what you're going to create. I've never seen a modded out Pig.

the rear are el dorado calipers and the front's are landcruiser / toyota calipers I believe, minitruck stuff, mostly all the same, here's a link to the front disc brake writeup with the caliper part #'s, etc:

the shackles, springs and shocks are all part of an ironman kit I got for cheap on ebay, so far so good. We will see how it rides. It's not a lexus, so WTF.

The build is coming along very nice great job, and the blue pig above is awesome. The painted chick was a bonus.

Rotisserie Done!

Some quick updates. I finished up my rotisserie for the 55 body this weekend. I am really stoked on the way it came out. Super stable and beefy. You can basically push and pull the whole body around the garage and spin it with one person a full 360 degrees. I got really lucky as I cut one of the supports too short and by complete chance placed it on the rear stand. The top rain gutter just barely rubs on it. I guess when I paint it will require a bit of touch up paint if I hit it, no biggie. It is going to be so much nicer to work on the rust and cleaning issues this way. Underneath the top and under the body crud removal will be much easier. I can basically turn it any way needed and lock it in for work. Rust panel work will be much easier now too.

some really cool rust/paint removal pads I got for my grinder off of the net, these things kick ass, it cut through the crud in about 2 seconds, much easier than wire wheel. I got the idea from a post on mud somewhere where someone reccomended them. Could not find the 3m products in any local stores so had to special order them. You have to buy an adapter as well for your grinder to make them fit.

Also, a pic of the taurus fans I got from camcruiser13 here on the board. I was surprised as to how good of shape they were in. One looked practically new. Thanks Cam!

Hey Noa, just a quick note on those rust removal wheels, I've been getting them for years from sunchaser tools as well as the shrinking disc system. That thing rocks for getting rid of lumps and bumps. I don't know how his prices compare for the discs, but here's the site,
http://www.sunchasertools.com/.

Noah-

The rotisserie turned out great! I picked up my Miller 180 yesterday and hope to have the 220 outlet by the end of next week. No need for a rotisserie here but I'll be fabing something soon. What's next on the rig? Mostly labor for now?

Hey Dom,

congrats on the welder, I think you will like it. For now, I am short on fundage so the next steps will be a lot of cleaning and some metal repair work on the body. I will post up more pics when I get some more done. Come by anytime with questions or for tips on welding. I am no expert but have gotten much better in the past year or so.

Noah
