At least you're (presumably) going back to the cold where you won't feel your feet

When I was in college, a floor-mate from Gainesville came back from winter vacation with a foot problem. Seems he kicked a sea urchin while scuba diving, and it wasn't healing. About two weeks later, when it got so bad he couldn't walk, he started poking at the holes with a pin and squeezing. . . . and the tips of the spines came out.

They were about an inch long, and were buried deep in his foot.

Man, did that stink.
When I got home, I opened it up, washed it, dumped some hydrogen peroxide in there and let it sit for a couple minutes, then rinsed it out good, then hit it with some Neosporin and a bandage. I am 100% sure I got the cut on Thursday afternoon, and felt it on Friday, so it hadn't been that long. We get nasty cuts up here, too

so I think I've got a handle on this.
