I hadn't really thought about the mounting yet. There was a fair amount of corrosion on the mounting points of both winches so it would be a smart thing to do. I had to drill one snapped off bolt out earlier in the thread. I have 1/8" rubber sheet or 0.100 UHMW (ultra high molecular weight) plastic at work. Also some copper coat or other anti-seize on well torqued bolts would help.
