Bump Again.
I created a Firefox extension today that seamlessly transloads images from other websites directly to imageshack without actually rendering their page, and copies the direct link to the imageshack mirror of the image to the clipboard.
Tentatively you can get it here if you have a Mozilla account (still in the sandbox):
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/9264
http://nate-online.com/install_transloader.html (alternatively: here is a direct install link on my domain, no signup required)
I'm going to write a page in a sec and put it on my domain to make it easier until it's out of the Mozilla sandbox (if it ever makes it out). Anyways, it's pretty simple. When you right click on an image, you'll see "Transload to ImageShack..." just click that and watch in your status bar and it will show you imageshack's progress. Once it says it's good to go, you simply paste the image URL where you need it. (Usually wrapped in [img][/img] tags inside a post)
Ex image:
Enjoy, now you have no excuse for getting caught hotlinking, because now it's equally easy to transload
Oh, I've only tested it against my Firefox (3.0.3) so if you are using another version (especially 2.0.0.*) let me know if it works; if not I'll patch accordingly.
