I use a Pentax Optio W10 (6MP) for work (drainage investigator), and haven't had any problems, although so far I haven't dropped it in the water yet so the majority of the exposure is from incessant rain.
My biggest gripe is that the I hate to RTFM, and the icons Pentax uses for their various modes are cryptic at best. I guess I'm just used to my Canon and Sony cams.
