i doubt the clutch is toast. iut sounds like either teh clutch master or slave cylinder went. in which case you could still drive it back.
teh clutch pedal just makes shifting easier, but is not required to drive it. or just fix it there, it's a 15 minute job if it's the slave, maybe an hour if it's master.
