Well, yeah. It emits a sort of chirping sound...seems like there are 3 levels, any of which make you wanna shit or go blind. It does, however keep the little rodents out of the cabin. The mice ate the nose off a really fine 10-point shoulder mount  But the taxidermist had another nose
